12 - Red Barricades

There is already ample evidence of a secret space program. I found these images and PowerPoint slides in a folder labeled "JPT KB." This appears to be related to the space ship KB Gabriel that responded to the interdimensional crisis in Wales (COLDANVIL).

Unfortunately, the slides don't provide many technical details. Based on the schematic (Slide Two), the ship is almost 4000 feet long. The FP450 engines are apparently fusion-based. It is not clear what a "gravitic lens" is, although "VD" almost certainly refers to Viper Diamond. Is this technology part of the US/alien alliance? Information on Torch engines can be found here. The weapons listed are less exotic. Missiles, laser and railguns are part of current military technology (coilguns are a type of electromagnetic accelerator).

The final slide provides a number of new projects and terms, for which I do not have information at this time. Project Lakota is another type of spacecraft, since Krasnyy Barrikady (Russian for Red Barricades and probably named after the Red Barricades Ordnance Factory, the site of intense fighting during the Battle of Stalingrad) is a space ship program. Both Valhalla and Viper are well known terms, denoting the Fourth Reich and alien species. It is not clear what Operation Exodus is; however, the fact that the ship can support thousands of passengers, the constant threat represented by Deadbolt Manifest and other potentially world-ending events, gives the name an ominous meaning. Are ships like Gabriel meant to be used as lifeboats, in case the Earth is lost?
