13 - Alfa 9
Mr. Friend contacted me via email. Some of the text were identifiers we had agreed on, so I would know if messages from him were legitimate. There were also a number of attachments, some of which are in this post. The rest will be posted over the next few weeks. All of them are focused on the Soviet Union.
Mr. Friend’s email contained this message:
“This is something that you need to see. The universe is the manifestation of information. By changing the information, we change the universe. In 1991, a KGB group named Alfa 9 was able to use thaumaturgical techniques to change the global information space about their existence. While fragments exist, much of the evidence pointing to their existence was erased. Not just destroyed; it is as if it had never been. What I’ve sent you are some of the fragments that have survived. The audio file is the only evidence that Alfa 9 still exists.”
Here are the documents, followed by the audio file and a transcript. The first document is an early assessment of Alfa 9.
Psychotronics refers to a broad category of research conducted by the USSR into the paranormal. Telepathy, remote viewing, biofeedback and a whole host of other fringe ideas were explored by the Soviets during the Cold War to gain an advantage over the US. While generally dismissed as waste of resources, this is clearly not the case. Khylotsk-55 cannot be found in any historical records; it appears to be one of the secret Soviet science cities. Baikonur is the main Soviet (and now Russian) space launch complex and Venera 4 was a 1967 Venus probe. What this has to do with Alfa 9 is a question for another day. Finally, the idea of reanimating Soviet leaders is disturbing. Could an undead Stalin still be lurking in the Kremlin?
This document appears to be a report from the head of the KGB on an Alfa 9 operation. In 1986, the Soviet submarine K-219 was lost at sea with a full load of nuclear weapons. Alfa 9 appears to have erased those weapons from existence.
This document points to what Mr. Friend conveyed in his email and what other Shadow Garden information has indicated; that there is an underlying framework of information that defines reality as we understand it. For more about information space, see the House Guest in Toledo post. It is not clear what DARK BLUE/FRAME MAST BLUE is, other than someone - or something - with an underwater colony.
The ability to manipulate information space appears to have unlimited potential for both good and evil. If a group of KGB agents can remotely destroy nuclear warheads and almost remove themselves from consensual reality, what are their limits? There are some indications that competing information warfare efforts can negate each other. For example, Alfa 9 could not affect the US nuclear arsenal. The Shadow Garden also has methods for defeating redescription attempts, whether through recording devices that exist outside of our space. Also, each of the documents provided has some form of glyph as a watermark. This may explain why these were not erased from existence; of course, they may not be related. There still isn't enough information to understand the full range of the "reality war" but hopefully that will change as more material is sent to me.
What is the purpose of the Betty Boop numbers station? The implication is that the list of letters and numbers is part of an ongoing maintenance program keeping Alfa 9 hidden. Are other numbers stations used for such purposes? For those who are unfamiliar with them, numbers stations are wha the name implies; radio stations which broadcast strings of numbers. Occasionally, other information will be broadcast (such as the Yosemite Sam Station). It has long been assumed that these stations are used by intelligence agencies to communicate with agents in foreign countries. Betty Boop is an example of another use for these obscure artifacts of short wave radio: an attempt to rewrite the rules of reality.
